Due to demand, this popular one-day training course on primary drama techniques with David Farmer is being repeated in Spring 2009. It is aimed at teachers working with the primary age-range (5-11) and suitable for staff new to drama or those looking for a refresher course. The practical approach will leave you inspired, refreshed and with a skill-set of dramatic ideas and techniques for teaching primary drama lessons and workshops in schools or drama clubs.

• Learn to use drama games, activities and practical techniques to enhance creativity with your class across the curriculum, encourage group co-operation and have fun!
• Discover how you can use primary drama lessons and techniques to meet statutory drama and literacy objectives, including speaking and listening.
• Explore literacy through drama using more developed techniques including visualisation, still images, music and improvisation to bring alive a traditional story, encouraging depth of understanding and creativity.
• Approach history through a drama lesson about British evacuees in World War 2 using photographs, artefacts, recorded archive audio, improvisation and role-play.

The one-day course takes place at Toynbee Studios in London on Wednesday 25th February 2009. The workshop provides an opportunity to explore and enjoy drama techniques with a group of like-minded people. Attendance Certificates and full notes of the day's activities will also be supplied.
