Course Tutors: Margaret Branscombe and David Farmer
This one-day drama CPD course for KS1 and KS 2 teachers in the Midlands immerses you in activities and ideas to use immediately in the classroom. The focus is on integrating drama across the primary curriculum including STEM subjects through the use of drama strategies such as freeze frames, teacher in role, hot-seating, ten-second objects, thought-tracking and many more.
David Farmer, director of Drama Resource and Margaret Branscombe, director of Learn Through Drama are both experienced teachers, drama practitioners and workshop leaders. David has a background in theatre in education and is the author of four popular drama books. Margaret has researched the teaching of KS2 science through drama and has had several schemes of work published in Teaching Drama magazine. The course will give practical ideas for infusing drama in a meaningful way that enhances learning and motivates students.
