Course Tutor: David Farmer
In response to demand, we have created a brand new drama training day for teachers who have previously attended the Drama in the Primary Curriculum course and are ready for more! David Farmer will deliver several lesson plans and ideas suitable for KS 1 and KS 2 to use in the primary school classroom and drama club. David is currently developing a new book of drama lessons and will demonstrate several of these on the day.
In addition there will be time allocated to work in small groups on developing drama ideas linked to themes or stories which participants are planning to teach. In fact you are encouraged to bring along ideas, stories and suggestions to work on in the afternoon. This will give you additional material to teach and we will share the ideas afterwards via DropBox and Google Drive.
- Includes full notes and lesson plans so that you can concentrate on participating in the activities
- Attendance Certificate presented
What They Said about Drama in the Primary Curriculum:
“A brilliant course – exceeded any expectations!” – Maria Dowding, July 2018
“It was just what I needed – a wide selection of games and activities that I can use straight away, especially as I’ve had no drama training.” – Laura Kennedy, July 2018
“The day was packed with easily achievable activities for all primary ages and abilities – and could be developed to link with all curricular areas.” – Claire Fletcher, February 2017
This one-day Drama INSET course is suitable for staff from schools and other organisations as well as freelancers. It is suitable for people who have previously attended a course with David Farmer or who have some experience of teaching drama.
