David Farmer delivers a brand new course comprising exciting lesson plans suitable for KS1 and KS2 taken from his forthcoming book Drop Of A Hat Drama. The lessons deal with a range of subjects across the curriculum and the approaches can be applied to many topics. As well as practical and interactive demonstrations we provide detailed lesson plans and resources to take away. The course is suitable for teachers and practitioners to use in the primary school classroom/drama club with or without previous drama teaching experience.

  • Topics include: The Tempest (KS2), YouTubers (KS2), Pets and Other Monsters (KS1/2), Quick Fire Story Explorers (KS1/2) and more
  • Includes full notes and lesson plans so that you can concentrate on participating in the activities
  • Attendance Certificate presented

What they said about Developing Drama in the Primary School:

‘I loved the scope of the lesson plans for extended schemes of work. A brilliant and informative day.’ – Rachel Bibby, February 2019.

‘I took two classes of year 3 students through ‘The King’s Sentence’ on Friday. They absolutely loved it and it has provided them and their English teacher with a platform to explore storytelling writing. Your imagination is inspirational!’– Hayley Casingena, February 2019

‘It was amongst the best delivered and organised CPD I have ever attended. This was thanks to the mix of practical activity, resources and opportunities to talk. It was very useful for me to hear about the sorts of drama being taught in schools and heartening to meet so many people passionate about the subject.’ – Elizabeth Kane, Learning Officer, The Customs House, February 2019.

Time is allocated to discussing and developing the drama activities and we will share these afterwards via DropBox and a private Facebook group.

  • Includes FULL notes and lesson plans so that you can concentrate on participating in the activities
  • Attendance Certificate presented
